How do I hide php script from browsing page source? I do make a simple php scripts and use the apache as server and mysql as database.... But when I browse on another PC the php programs output then brown then save the page as is in php format... it saves the same scripts as in what I programmed... How do I set up my computer so I can modify the PHP programs to update the website and it's database?Need Help? My problem is not learning to program using PHP, I could use any book or tutorial. I could look at the copies of the programs for the website that I’m updating but that’s all I can do. It’s just like looking at a printout of the programs, I can not test them. I’m able to log in to myPhpAdmin and see the database. I have the id and password to log in to goDaddy. In my computer/local directory, I have copies of the php programs for the website. My problem is more on the administration/connection and/or setting up my computer. I don’t have much experience in setting up server, database and internet connections. Tutorials can show you how to install a test environment. That's what I did, I downloaded XAMPP & Dev-PHP 3.00 but I don’t know how to connect it to a database(Live or test). I'm getting connection problems when I run a test php program which is basically a copy of a program used in the website. In my experience as a mainframe programmer, there is always a test and Live/production environment, test and Live/production data, etc., always a test for testing and you don’t touch the Live/Production, just make copies to test. I don’t know where to start, where and how I can see the production programs and how/where I can test them. I don’t know how to connect all this things together so I can start making changes to the php programs and test them. I don't have much experience in configuring my computer & setting up connections between the internet, server, database, etc. It's hard for me to figure out these things.
