2. a very small group of customers who have similar tastes and needs and who have the ability to pay for that extra.
a niche is a narrow segment. it is so narrow that it deters competetiors from entering. so it has natural entery barriers. the ppl in a niche are ready to pay a premeuim price if their complex nees are met. simply a nich is a segment in a segmnet.
3. You focus your marketing efforts in a relatively small specialized market segment.
This is originated by several factors:
1)Large producers are not interested in that niche due to the fact that the broader market is profitable enough.
2) Other market participants do not have the expertise to service the niche.
4. Niche marketing involves catering or trying to cater to the needs of a very specifically defined narrow market segment having very uniquely identifiable and differentiated needs and requirements. The sharp focus generally leads the product to be designed with specific qualities, and the channels of communication chosen are also in accordance with this niche segment.
5. According to the WikiPedia, "Niche marketing is the process of finding and serving small but potentially profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them."
