What are professional stock brokers annual return?

i have heard that good stock brokers can return over 100% of their money annually. Although i also hear that it is rare for someone to return 12% annually on their portfolio

1. Brokers cannot guarantee a return on investment. It is illegal. Investing depends on many factors including the client’s investment objectives, their age, risk tolerance, income, etc. Some brokers are better than others (just like any other profession), but when it comes to returns you should look at the market as a whole over periods of time. Look at the S&P500, the Dow Jones Ind. Avg. (comprised of 30 stocks) and the NASDAQ. In the current market some indices are down about 40% year-to-date depending on which ones you look at.
