Are there any online stock brokers whom you can execute multiple buy and sell orders?

simultaneously from their websites as opposed to having to enter your orders just 1 @ a time?
Last Thurs when the marke bottomed, I wanted to buy half a dozen different issues at the same time
but the online broker only allowed me to do themone at a time
which ended up costing me a lot of money
Are all brokers like this?
So slow and single purpose?
Who is the best online broker for somewhat serious investors?
