1. I'm not a broker but i'll try to help...

If you found an old stock, you may wonder if it's worth a fortune or not
Your main questions:
- Does the stock have any value?
- Is it redeemable?
- Is the company still around?
- How do I get money for it?
- What is the collectible value?

First, check if the company is still traded on any major financial site. Most sites have a company name to symbol search system. If you have no luck, check the links below.

2. It could be very difficult to figure out what they are worth because the stock may have split and the company may have changed names several times since then. If you can provide a name we can probably give some general advice, but you'll have to take it to a stock broker in person to know for sure.

3. The best way to start would be to contact the company's shareholder services departments directly. They probably can't tell you how much it is worth but they can point you in the right direction to get you started.

Just Yahoo search each company to find their websites, and click on contacts or something similiar to get started.

You could go through a stock broker, but we'll charge you an arm and a leg. Instead do a little work yourself. If the stock is worth anything at all, it'll be worth the extra time spent.
