Hi, I am new investor.I do day trading.?

as iam new to the market i dare to take small loses and like to take small profits like $30 OR 50.The problem is i have scottrade brokarage account, so i have to pay $14(7for buying and 7 for selling)for evry transaction to take place.As i like to small profit 50%my profit goes to scottrade and i feel like i am working for them instead for myself .Can anybody tell me which brokarage firm charge less than scottrade sothat i can improve my profit percentage.Thanks

1. there are plenty better then scottrade. I use Zecco-$4.50 a trade or free if balance is over 2500+.

2. If you increase your investment per position, then a smaller % will go into transaction fees. This will also allow you to trade on smaller stock price swings.

4. you should go to interactivebrokers.com. $1 per side for US equities. btw, in order to be profitable long term, you need to let your profits ride longer than you would take a loss, i.e., if you're willing to risk losing 8%, you need to have an expected gain of say, 10-15% or more.
