Are Govt.Servants prohibited to take part in intra-day share trading? Is it against conduct rules?

Govt Servants are prohibited from undertakng any business while serving. Gambling by way of Share trading is proscribed.In such circumstances, does intra-day share trading come with in the ambit of prohibition?

1. yes if they use all the office equipments .....or just talk for long hours or spend most of time on it......u need evidences such as call details ,other corroborative evidence

2. Well look at it like this. If they are busy trading, they are not doing the job they are paid to do now are they?
