Where can I find stock ticker symbols of US companies?

I know I can look up at google finance or some other sources for individual companies. But I need a database of symbols...

1. You have to accumulate your own database.

You should know which stocks interest you:
Sector, Industry

You should have a minimum price you will not go below
and
POSSIBLY the maximum price you will not trade above.

The consistent minimum daily volume.

These are ALL parts of the trading rules you adapt, follow, "tweak" and adjust.

2. Stockcharts.com has an excellent database of stock, index and mutual fund symbols. Easy to search their online database. Charts are excellent also.
