What is the fastest way to get a brokers licence?

I want to get a brokers licence, does anyone know any school that I can check out? (cheapest) oh and does anyone know what I need?

1. First you have to become a licensed Realtor. That entails taking a class and passing it. After you pass the test, you take a state board exam. If you pass the board you have to work under a licensed Broker for a certain amount of time. After that, you do the same as above except you do it to become a licensed Broker.

If you can find a company to sponser you and give you a job when you have completed the Realtor portion, they will usually pay all your expenses for school.

It is not easy to complete. It is not an easy job either. You have to work week ends, be on call for your clients day & night. Keep up with all the listings, meetings, seminars, etc.

It is demanding at best. If you have kids, I wouldn't even consider it. The only real difference between a Realtor and a Broker is the Broker makes more money. But it takes a long, long time to build a business as a Broker. Unless, of course, you can get in with someone else that is already established. You can handle closings and money as the Broker. You also have the total responsibility for all the people who license under you.

Long story short, there are no short cuts in the Real Estate business.

2. I am assuming you want to be a real estate broker. If so and if you live in the U.S. the quickest way is to do the online study courses. Kaplan Schools are nationwide and competitively priced. You can check the web site for your state Department of Real Estate to see what the requirements are. The requirements vary from state to state. I am a licensed broker in both California and Texas.
