This is my first time buying stocks and i need to find a not expensive stock broker. Also what are the differences of stock brokers.

1. Zecco.com offers ten free trades a month. It's a good broker to start with because your not penalized with broker fees for making mistakes on which stocks you buy.

The only real difference in the types of online brokers your looking for are the extra features they provide such as stock charting software which you can find for free on other websites like yahoo finance or marketwatch.com anyways.

2. welcome to the stock market. regarding to the brokers, Personally, I think Sogotrade is best among all online brokerages. You can get a lot of free trades: about 100 free trades with 500 minimum deposits. It has very good customer services, it also has live help, and you can chat with representatives about any question. After that, only 3 dollar for each trade, pretty sweet when compared with other online brokerages.

3. Generally it isn't advisable to buy the cheapest car, go to the cheapest doctor, and similarly why would you want the cheapest broker? Further, generally a broker is someone that assists in the single transaction of stock. Your task should be to find the best financial advisor that will ask questions to get to know you and what the money is for. From there, he will be able to set up a plan, implement the plan, and monitor the plan. There is value in that.

If you are into do it yourself car repair, do it yourself health care, and similarly do it yourself investing, then you can use one of the services noted above - which are not brokers, and they are a far cry from financial advisors they are websites that allow you to buy and sell securities.

4. Generally the cheaper the broker the more experiance you need (the broker supplies little to no basic education and "hand holding").

Newbe's would be wise to use;
Charles Schwab
or
Fidelity Investments

Zecco & SogoTrade have been rated among the worst brokers by Barron's and other well known financial publications. They can not afford "service" with their low rates.... and do not deliver a good product.

5. Sogotrade is the cheapest stock broker with $3 per trade.
Not only 100 free trades, they are offering 25 free trades for referring.

You must choose the stock broker which is not only cheap but reliable.
The parent company of Sogotrade, Genesis has their own trading platform, own market data and own clearing.So much of the cost is saved.

And you can assume how both of them perform if Genesis and SogoTrade transact over 120 million shares each day, representing the equivalent of 2–4% of Nasdaq’s total daily trading volume.

Stock brokers difference lies in the features and offers they provide to the customers and also the reliability of the stock broker.
