What are some hot stocks to buy right now?

New to investing in stocks, wanting to invest some extra money in the stock market locally or globally.

1. Anything that invests in gold and silver mining companies. Gold Corp. and Silver Wheaton come to mind.

Mining stocks are priced relatively low to gold right now and gold is primed for a bounce. I expect mining stocks to do extremely well through the rest of the year.

2. Hot stocks is kind of a vague term. It really depends on what your risk level is, how much you have to invest, and what kind of investment vehicle you want to use (stocks, options, ETF's...).

Be wary of "free investment" advice. Though I cannot legally give you stock picks, I suggest you start with looking at the best performing sectors first, then find stocks within those sectors.

3. OK! It's great that you're looking to invest in the market. How much about stock trading/investing have you read on so far.... 2, 3, 4 or more books?

How can asking strangers, whose qualifications and motives ever help you? Why would the "hot" stocks be of interest to you right now? They're the ones that go down the fastest. Do you know how to handle this? Can you take a 20%, 50% or more loss on an investment?

Please take your time and learn. If you don't..... you'll make all the typical mistakes new investors make (like buying "hot" stocks or buying low priced stocks).
