1. I don't know about stocks or stock websites but if I was you I would invest in Wal-Mart and McDonald's. I don't even think a nuclear war would stop them. LOL

2. Hot stocks and safe investments are incompatible - you can't have both - it's either one or the other.

3. To put matters into perspective, stocks as an investment are neither hot nor cold.

Given present day conditions in the global as well as domestic financial environment, it would be reasonable to stay close to the index stocks; which would be the Sensex and Nifty. In case, you would prefer a longer list to choose from; you may also consider the Nifty junior.

Further, it is expected that you would evaluate the intrinsic value of the stocks you may consider for onward investment; and also check them against both fundamental and technical parameters you may have in mind.

No part of this reply is to be misconstrued to be investment advise given or taken.

Sincerely,

Akash

4. I will take the other side of whatever trade you make.

The notion that one can make money with no risk is illogical captain.

5. IBM and Coca Cola.

If you're after save long term investments forget about share prices for a minute. Ask yourself 2 main questions:
Does the company make profit and increase it's annual profits?
Does the company pay and raise its quarterly dividends annually?

I don't use web sites, I use professional trading/investing software to see charts and financial statements of different companies. It helps to filter out the manipulative market commentary, or 'noise' as I call it.
