1. Well in the 1990's we had the internet bubble so if you got in and out of those at the right time you made a killing. In the 1980's real estate was really hot so REIT's did quite well. There was also a gold rush in the 1980's when gold hit over $800 an ounce not to hit those levels again for 20 years. So if you got in and out of gold stocks at the right time you made a killing.
