How to select trading type ? (either day or delivery)?

I am new to trading.I am planning to buy some shares,but before that I need to make sure that I make only make delivery trading and not day trading.But While placing an buy order there is nowhere I can specify day or delivery.Is all margin trading is intraday and all cash-on-carry trading is delivery ?

1. DONT DAY TRADE. It doesnt work. Just go with the boring way of your money frowing at 8 to 10 percent a year. I tried day trading and it was the stupidest thing I ever did. Don't fall for the software on day trading. Its all bunk.
