Can I trade stocks across different stock exchange?

For example, if I buy TD bank from Torronto Stock Exchange, can I sell it in NYSE?
I care because I want to figure it out.

1. Why would you care? My broker (and most) will route orders for best price, regardless of exchange.

2. Yes. This is a very complex strategy called derivatives trading. I work for Merrill Lynch, and this is all I do all day.
In order to actually do this, you have to have an account in the actual exchange, so you could not do it with your broker. Also you have to trade this in huge volume, to make any profit from the tiny price difference.

3. You can do what you like. How will you settle the trade? Some US stocks settle in Crest, I think, so they may be OK. If they are in their respective depots than it will cost you to transfer from one country depot to another. I wouldn't try it.

4. Unless you have massive quantities of money fed intravenously, no. Go for the morphine drip and the Demarol back.
