why is every one born in the united states a commodity on the world stock exchange?
on our birth certificates, or certificates of manifest, we are given a number. this number is a stock number assigned to us. i am not talkin about our social security numbers. i am talkin about us being listed as commodities on the world stock exchange.

1. From a psychological perspective I have noticed a subtle shift in the perception of national identity here in the States. In the past there was an employment office...now it is Human Resources. We were established as a nation of men free to pursue life, liberty...(etc.) To a large degree in the past this was the freedom to worship God as determined by the individual`s conscience. The consequent growth in a free nation`s prosperity was a testament to the viability of the concept. Freedom of religion progressed in a manner that eventually included abolition of slavery, women`s rights, civil rights, children`s work laws, and many others. These were primarily the result of the moral convictions of a nation. Ever moving forward freedom progressed to the point where the source of that freedom became obscure to the population at large and they eventually became free "from" religion. A generation knew what was "right", but no longer knew why it was right. In the late `50`s & 60`s the upheaval relegated religion to a subdued role from what it formerly was. Spirituality was redefined and became somewhat nebulous in definition. Ethics superseded morality and the prosperity of the WWII generation became the object of attainment in America... That is to say; rather than the result of something achieved (as a consequence of freedom) it became the object of achievement. Therefore it is not in the least unusual for terms to follow the reality of the matter. We have redefined freedom in economic terms...the right to social security, health care, education, housing, food, childcare..."and so it goes..." Man has become incorporated into the collective whole. Whether it is individually recognized or not is immaterial. Same as gravity; "it is" and we are subject to its workings. How else would one keep track of the individuals involved except by assigning numbers to them and associating performance data to that number for the individual human resource. Our drivers licenses have all of our driving history. School transcripts have all of our education info. The local law enforcement has a record of any infringement of law. Employers have work history. Like it or not the meaning of our existence has changed. It has been a result of Social Darwinism....gotta keep track of the collective herd... Mooo!
