Do stock brokers on Wall Street still make cold calls to generate accounts?

If so, how many calls do they make each day? If they don't use cold calling, what are some of the methods that are being used to generate new accounts?

1. They somtimes call from Boca raton ,Florida And that is usually bad news if it's from there. That area of Florida has a long term reputation.

If however you have had active accounts in the past then ....yes , It's entirly possible that you will get calls to open an account for a specific investment stratagy that the rep is pushing on you . Hope this helps
