1. NYSE will have a list, but it's a lot easier just searching for the company you're looking for on Yahoo! Finance:

http://finance.yahoo.com/

out the company name, or as much as you know, or the ticker symbol, and you'll get the standard public information

2. If you go to http://finance.yahoo.com/, there is a search box at the top of the page with a "Get Quotes" box next to it. Type in the name of your company, and you will get information about the company, including the NYSE abbreviation.
