Can a minor participate in the stock exchange?

I was just wondering if a minor can participate in the stock exchange in the UK. or if not, was there any way around it?

1. You are supposed to be 18, but I think your parents can sign off for you. It'll also depend on your broker, so you'll just have to contact someone directly.

Try walking into a big brokerage as well. You might just gain some admiration, and some help along the way.
