What Are the Benefits of Being Listed on a Major Stock Exchange?
I was wondering what the benefits of being listed on a major stock exchange are.
Public Comments
1. A listing on a major stock exchange brings far greater visibility to a company that is publicly traded. As the company/stock reaches additional milestones, it may become eligible for inclusion in benchmark indices such as the Russell 2000, the Russell 5000 and bell weather S & P 500.
This translates into ever greater liquidity...or more money coming in as shares are sought. The primary reason for an IPO is to gain access to broader financial markets. This provides capital for expansion along with operating costs and often-=--pay-back for stake holders.

2. none
today its a ego trip
information is important! earnings/potential earnings/etc
3. Not for any benefit, but for the sole objective to raise the capital from the market and provide liquidity to their shares/ instruments they list on the Stock Exchanges, the bigger the exchange better is the liquidity. Companies list on more than one exchange to provide enhanced liquidity.
