Is marketing and advertising a good career to go into?

I want to major in marketing and advertiseing. I just wonder if I will find good jobs with this degree.. And I really want to go into event planning, if someone could give any advise on how to get into that?

2. If you own a degree - or any other qualification - then you'll already be in advace of of the masses when it comes to looking for careers. My friend has a degree and he wasn't sure what direction to go with it, but he discovered some excellent instruction on the site in the resource box below which helped him to settle that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is lots of assistance on the site regarding other careers.
