It means you are marketing to a specific corner of the market, a niche. Like for instance, pregnant women who own Ipods, or stay at home dads who smoke and then you will target your marketing to them specifically.

2. It means we do marketing strategy for the niche market. The niche market is a specific segment of product or service which have some group of people in the market. It is small market that other people still don't pay attention to it. So we grab that to market it. For example, we might sell tuna for lady.
