1. Check out ICAD. They are on stage 3 of FDA approval on a virtual colonoscopy. Trading at $1.68 and a small range between that. If they get through stage 3 it could have a huge jump. Also, a "strong buy" from most analysts.
2. Uh, well, yeah, sure there's "HOT" stocks out there. And there's people who'd love to let you know about them, for nothing, just so you'll buy them and help drive the price up.
Trouble is, for every "HOT" stock there's probably ten or a hundred "CRAP" stocks, and there's lots and lots of people who'd love to let you know about THEM too, to drive their price up.
Your problem is knowing which is which. And yeah it's your problem. Just like knowing enough about cars not to get sold a lemon is pretty much your problem.
It's worse than that actually. There's also lots of people who'd love to WARN YOU AWAY from various stocks, because they'd like to force the price DOWN (because they're short selling it). And the stock they're warning you away from could be "HOT" or "CRAP."
See basically, there's just a huge butt load of liars out there on the stock market. Seriously if you don't do the boring drudge work of reading about all these thousands of boring a$$ companies, then you might as well take your savings account to the casino and at least get free drinks.
3. So how is it that you AREN'T "aware" that stocks under $10 are statistically INFINITELY more likely to go DOWN in value than they are to go UP?
When you go the supermarket and see raw fish on sale that has been "marked down", do you instantly conclude it must be a bargain? Or that there is something wrong with it and the store are trying to get rid of it in a hurry?
If you only have $100, rather than buying ten shares of something under ten bucks, do yourself a HUGE favor and buy two shares of something that's trading at $50 because other investors believe it actually has a future...
NEVER buy "cheap fish" OR "cheap stocks", they both smell bad and you WILL regret it!
