What is the best stock trading website for beginners?

What is the best stock trading website for beginners? I'm a college student and have about 500-600 dollars to invest. I know a good amount about what i am doing, but am no expert. What would be the best for me?

I here Scott Trade is pretty good, and they have a branch nearby where i live. How do they stack up against others, like scwabb or etrade?

Thanks for the help!

1. I like TDAmeritrade. I've been with them for a few years, and have never had any problems. They also offer something like 10 free trades to start you out, so you can shuffle without cost while you're figuring out what to do.

2. Well, Not to pick on you but,, it's hear ((not here)) ...

I've used E-Trade for over 10-yrs,, It is a very good trading platform ... Everything is laid out and you don't need to search through oblique links to figure out what's going on ...

I looked at TD a couple years ago when E-Trade was in trouble but didn't like it as good as ET,, so I opened an account with Bank of America just in case,, ... BoA just changed its brokerage accounts to Merrill Lynch and it SUCKS!!! .... It is a horrible interface ...

People like http://www.sharebuilder.com/ ,,, but I dunno' anything about it ...

Good luck ...
