Day Trading Requirements anyone?
I want to exclusively trade the S&P e-mini in an intraday day trading format and I'm wondering what are the basic requirements.
For example: What income range should I be in (40k - 50k and up)?
What type of net worth should I have (250k and up)?
Also, do I have to give the brokerage firm I choose to trade with a financial statement?
Or, should I refuse to give it if they ask?
Thanks

1. You need to have your identity established like having a SSN and a bank account. You need to have a minimum of $25k cash. Make an application for a margin account with a brokerage firm like scottrade. Then deposit your $25k and you are free to day trade. As long as you maintain this balance you can day trade as much as you want. If your balance falls below this threshold, you will need to be very careful and not be flagged as pattern day trader.
