1. Stock Brokers in my opinion are a complete waste of money. If you are concerned about your investments, learn it yourself and get a Scottrade account, and educate yourself. It will save alot of money and it can be fun in the process. There are other online companies that charge different transaction fees, look them over (read the fine print).

2. if you are playing long term why not get into silver or gold.

I agree with the response that you should learn to trade yourself...

If you choose to use a "proffessional" you must understand the differences beteen a "stock broker" and a financial advisor.

A stock broker only has to make sure that you are "qualified" and have "risk capital" available so that if you lose out on the invesment its not going to affect your lifestyle.

A financial advisor has to look out for the clients best interest

Now I won't say that all financial advisors are worth their weight but make sure that whom ever you are dealing with has actual experience in the industry not just book knowledge

3. I suggest Zecco.

4. Hi,

Its good that you wants to enter into stock market. But be aware in choosing your stock broker. because first they lure you by offering low brokerage and then they do have some hidden terms and conditions about their charges.

Yes you can try for Mansukh, Sharekhan, Indiainfoline, karvy etc. But since i am using the services of Mansukh from past 2 years therefore i would like to suggest you that go for Mansukh. Their unique mobile app allow you to check the status of your stocks while on move. I hope this information will help you in a better way.

Shashwat.
