how to read the stock ticker on tv?

how to read the stock ticker on the TV?

its scrolling and the top part says: bfx.2727.67 (arrow up) 2.365745
the bottom says: aapl 350.696(arrow up) 8.286111

so does the top part mean its a big market and the bottom one is a small market?

1. The top tape is the New York Stock Exchange.

BFX is EURONEXT BEL-20 (Brussels) an index. The quote you show was Thursdays close the up arrow indicating how many points it was up.

The bottom tape is the NASDAQ. AAPL is Apple Computer.

2. well the market is closed right now so those are obviously recorded streams
i dont know what bfx is but it is a market probably bioengineering sciences and it is profitable for the day
aapl is the ticker for Apple and is is up 8.29 from its opening bid at the start of the market day.
use yahoo finance and you can learn a lot
