How do i find the names of the marketing directors / managing directors of the companies in my city?

I am looking at doing a marketing campaign for a product I am releasing in the market and want to know how to go about getting the information of marketing directors or managing directors in the local restaurants / letting agents and car dealerships in the area.

2. Its unlikely local restaurants, letting agents and car dealerships will have marketing directors and managing directors unless they are part of a chain.

The best bet depending on your marketing budget is to pay for a list using one of the listing agencies for marketing contacts. Chamber of Commerce, Restaurant Guides and Motor Dealership associations in your city may also be able to help. If we knew your city it would be easier to answer your question more specifically.

If it was me i'd be doing a search on google of organisations for your city the look up the "contact us" link and that gets you started. Then give them a ring and ask for the names of their MD & Marketing Directors. However its always better to find the person in the organisation who actually uses your type of product. MD & Marketing Directors usually bin marketing stuff they receive! The actual users would be much more interested in new products that help them to do their job better. Its called upwards promotion.

The best way to do it, is to go through the telephone directory, electronically or by using the regular catalog. You can start calling each company and asking the names of the marketing and managing directors.
Personal contact, and by explaining to these companies the reason you are calling for, you will built business relationships with them which will lead you to gain more information and do your job in a better manner.

I do it personally, it is successful, and I make new friends on a daily basis. I like that!
